Enrique's options to counter Yamal after Mendes's absence
Paris Saint-Germain's team faces a setback with the absence of the left-back Nuno Mendes from the upcoming match against Barcelona in the Champions League, due to an injury sustained in a previous game. Coach Luis Enrique faces a challenge in selecting alternative solutions, potentially relying on players like Lucas Hernandez or João Nievès to fill in for Mendes, or perhaps returning Warren Zaïre-Emery to the left-back position. This move comes amid Enrique’s desire to protect the defensive area from the influence of Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, who is considered one of the brightest talents on the right wing. The encounter between the two teams is crucial in determining the outcome of the match, with both sides currently tied on points in the Champions League standing.
