Zamalek team achieved a valuable victory over Rayon Sports of Rwanda with a 1-0 win in the 89th minute of the first leg of the CAF Champions League Round of 32. The match witnessed many missed opportunities and strong performances from Zamalek goalkeeper Mehdi Suleiman. The first half ended in a goalless draw despite attempts from both teams, and the competition continued in the second half with chances exchanged before Nasser Monemesi scored the decisive winning goal from a well-organized attack. With this victory, Zamalek has a great chance to qualify for the group stage, as a draw in the second leg will be enough, while Rayon Sports must win by two goals to advance.
