F1 Federation probes Bahrain GP incident

The International Automobile Federation (FIA) has reported that it is currently investigating a software glitch that affected the Bahrain Grand Prix, leading to chaos, the cancellation of the formation lap, and a delay in the race due to heavy rain and weather conditions. This malfunction inadvertently caused some cars to lose power, prompting the federation to issue an updated program allowing teams to modify their power units before the race. Prominent drivers such as Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen were affected by the incident, with Verstappen describing the experience as similar to a "Lego race," while Hamilton had to stop his car and restart it. This incident comes amid a tough season characterized by increased installation of electrical components in the power units, with drivers expressing their frustration over these developments. The federation plans to thoroughly review the issue in collaboration with teams and manufacturers to prevent it from happening again.
