UK clarifies its position on City crisis

The office of British Prime Minister Andy Burnham confirmed that the government is not involved in the Manchester City case, and that the ruling issued against the club by an independent committee is still under appeal, emphasizing that the legal process should proceed independently. The government clarified that if violations are proven, those responsible will be penalized, stressing that everyone must adhere to the rules and that no one is above the law. These statements came after controversy sparked by Burnham's comments regarding the club's signing and its Emirati owners, as he expressed concern about the possibility of its sale, despite the club's denials of any violations and its intention to challenge the committee's decision. Legal procedures indicate that the case remains open, with expectations that it may take several months, amid ongoing doubts and legal and sporting repercussions.
