Ten Hag Discusses Ronaldo Confrontation

Erik ten Hag, the former Manchester United manager, revealed his criticisms of the club's culture, describing it as "toxic." He explained that the management granted the players too much influence at the expense of authority and discipline, which led to clashes with stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Sancho, and Rashford. He pointed out that the club's management did not support him enough in enforcing discipline rules, especially after his disagreements with Ronaldo, who publicly opposed the coach and left the club following open criticisms. Ten Hag also accused former Real Madrid players Casemiro and Varane of attempting to influence tactical decisions, leading to a disruption in the balance of power within the locker room amid deep disagreements over playing styles and player behavior. The video comes after his dismissal in October 2024 and warns of the damaging effects of a toxic culture on the club's stability and the team's success.
