Macron Tours Gulf on Strait and Energy

The article discusses French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to the Gulf countries, including Kuwait, the UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar, from October 19 to 21, to discuss the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and its impact on energy prices. It highlights the increase in attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz, where more than ten vessels have been targeted since the beginning of the week, leading to disruptions in navigation and increased risks in this vital corridor, which is one of the busiest areas for the transit of oil and goods. The escalation of attacks by Iran in retaliation for American and Israeli strikes, targeting ships, has resulted in the deaths of around 24 sailors since the start of the conflict, including the sinking of a container ship in recent attacks. The article emphasizes that these developments significantly affect energy supply stability and heighten regional and international tensions surrounding the strait.
