Riyadh Airport Evacuations Amid Tensions

Today, Saturday, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh experienced explosions and partial evacuations that completely disrupted air traffic. The disruptions resulted from missile attacks by the Yemeni armed forces targeting the airport during ongoing military escalations. The incident led to the cancellation and rerouting of several flights, with one person injured by glass shards and transported to the hospital. As a result, air traffic at the airport came to a complete halt, and travelers were warned to check the status of their flights. These attacks are part of repeated escalation operations by Yemen, which have included targeting other Saudi airports in response to the blockade and military actions affecting Yemeni airports.
