Mammadani urges Trump to pull immigration forces from New York

Under the headline "Participation Following a Shooting Incident in New York," the city’s mayor, Zahran Mamdani, called on U.S. President Donald Trump to withdraw Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel from the streets of New York after a shooting incident in the Bronx neighborhood, during which a man was injured in an altercation with ICE officers. Authorities confirmed that the incident occurred during a field operation carried out by the Immigration Administration as part of its intensified crackdown on illegal immigration. Mamdani expressed his disapproval of immigration forces operating within the community, describing the incident as "dangerous and unacceptable," and warned of further immigration enforcement actions in the city.
