Sinetcom Prepares for Florida Talks

The article discusses Lebanon's efforts in the negotiation round with Israel regarding border issues and military agreements, with the United States serving as the primary mediator. Preparations have begun for the new round, which will be held in Florida. The agenda includes establishing a new mechanism to limit Hezbollah's weapons, Israeli forces withdrawing from the area, and the removal of weapons south of the Litani River. Currently, the negotiations are stagnant, with expectations tied to the outcomes of the Israeli elections and political talks postponed until after the elections. Israel demands on-the-ground operations to ensure Hezbollah's disarmament, while U.S. pressure on Lebanon continues to prevent the group's funding. Sources indicate that the Lebanese government is avoiding escalation and is hopeful for a potential dialogue amid ongoing regional tensions.
