France boosts support for Lebanese Army
A new building belonging to the Regional De-mining School for Humanitarian Purposes was inaugurated in Hamama, Lebanon, with support from France and HAMAP Organization. The project aims to train and qualify Lebanese Army personnel and specialists in landmine clearance to reduce the risks posed by unexploded ordnance, especially in areas that still contain mines from previous conflicts and recent military remnants. This support is part of the effort to strengthen the Lebanese Army's capabilities in protecting civilians and managing mine-related hazards. The French ambassador emphasized that France’s ongoing support for collaboration with the military remains steadfast despite current circumstances.
