Maduro's son reports wife’s serious prison health issues

Nicolas Maduro revealed that the health condition of his father’s wife, Celia Flores, who is detained in the United States, has worsened. She is suffering from a severe heart problem that requires urgent surgery, but the prison conditions are not suitable for recovery. Her health further deteriorated after a fight inside the prison that worsened her asthma-related breathing issues. Her legal team is increasingly concerned about the lack of medical care she is receiving. The family is demanding her release and her placement under house arrest to receive treatment, but the U.S. authorities have refused. Flores, a prominent attorney, is facing drug trafficking charges in the U.S., which she denies. The family hopes for positive developments during the current week.
