The Head of the Lebanese Parliament's Finance and Budget Committee, Ibrahim Kanaan, welcomed the French President's envoy for economic affairs, Jacques de La Jogy, along with several French officials, to discuss financial and economic reform issues in Lebanon. An agreement was reached to continue working on financial legislation, including the Banking Secrecy Law and banking sector reforms, in addition to the “Gap Law” draft that is currently being discussed between the International Monetary Fund, the Ministry of Finance, and Banque du Liban (the Central Bank).
