Beirut Water Supply Disrupted Due to Line Damage

The Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Establishment announced that a major damage occurred to a 1200 mm diameter water pipeline supplying the Abu Haydar Tower reservoir, during excavation work near the second station in Sin El Fil. They will begin repair work immediately, which will require cutting off water to areas served by the Dbayeh pumping station and other catchment areas, including Antelias, Jdeideh, New Jdeideh, Zaarour, Dnakoula, and Hazmiyeh. Repairs will proceed continuously day and night without interruption, and water supply will be restored as soon as the repairs are completed.
