Tesla Boosts China Car Sales 2026

Tesla's electric car sales manufactured in China increased by 5% year-over-year in September, following a 3.6% rise in August, as its sales in Europe continue to recover. Deliveries of the Model 3 and Model Y at the Shanghai factory reached 95,366 vehicles, compared to 90,812 vehicles in the same period last year, marking the eleventh consecutive month of year-over-year growth. Additionally, electric vehicle sales in Shanghai grew by 13.7% year-over-year during the third quarter. These figures indicate Tesla's sales are recovering after two years of decline, despite a 2.1% worldwide drop in deliveries on an annual basis during the same period. Tesla is aiming to boost its sales through discounts on the Model Y and Model 3 installments until the end of October, amid fierce competition in the world's largest car market.
