Over 11,800 violators detained across the Kingdom

Field campaigns were carried out across all regions of the Kingdom between September 24 and September 30, 2026, resulting in the detention of 11,819 violators of residency, work, and border security regulations. Among them, 5,793 individuals violated the residency system, 3,307 violated border security laws, and 2,719 violated labor regulations. Additionally, 1,382 people attempting to cross the border illegally were apprehended—38% of whom were Yemenis and 61% Ethiopians—and 32 individuals trying to cross the border unlawfully from within the Kingdom were also detained. Moreover, 19 people involved in transporting or sheltering violators were arrested. Currently, 32,139 violators are undergoing deportation procedures or the issuance of travel documents, with 9,992 of them already deported. The Ministry of Interior emphasized that anyone assisting violators faces penalties of up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to one million riyals, in addition to the confiscation of transportation means and shelters. The ministry also called for reporting violations through emergency numbers in various regions.
