Over 14,260 detained for security breaches

Joint field operations across the Kingdom have successfully detained 14,260 individuals violating residency, work, and border security regulations within one week. This includes 6,900 violators of the residency system, 3,982 of border security, and 3,378 of labor regulations. Additionally, 1,524 people were caught attempting to cross the border, of whom 36% are Yemenis and 63% Ethiopians. Furthermore, 38 individuals tried to evade border controls illegally. To date, 31,922 violators are undergoing regulatory enforcement procedures, with 13,724 deported and thousands more referred for other legal actions. The Ministry of Interior emphasized that facilitating the entry or sheltering of violators exposes those involved to penalties of up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to one million riyals, with the means used to assist them confiscated. It warned against the dangers of collaborating with violators.
