International Communications Opens AI Lab

During the 2026 Global AI for Public Good Summit in Geneva, the International Telecommunication Union launched an international AI laboratory dedicated to empowering developing and emerging economies to adopt AI technologies responsibly and sustainably. The lab focuses on three main areas: AI readiness, skills development, and infrastructure enhancement, aiming to transform pilot initiatives into large-scale national implementations. It will provide readiness assessments, policy guidance, and capacity-building programs, supporting sectors such as health, education, and transportation.
