Alpha Phi scandal at UC Santa Barbara

The University of California, Santa Barbara's Alpha Phi sorority chapter is embroiled in a racism scandal following allegations of discrimination against women of color during fall recruitment. Members and online reviews describe walkouts and a hostile environment, with reports of minority candidates being systematically excluded and active sisters of color barred from recruitment activities. The controversy intensified after a volunteer adviser accused of hijacking the process left, and chapter members demanded accountability, contradicting the organization's claimed commitment to diversity and inclusion.
