Alaa on El-Sayed’s win
Alaa Mubarak praised Democrat Abdulrahman El-Sayed’s victory in the Michigan Senate race, commending his support for Palestinian rights and what he described as his voice in defense of Gaza’s children. El-Sayed, a former public health official, defeated Republican Mike Rogers and will become the first Muslim U.S. senator when he is sworn in next January. El-Sayed said his priority was to prevent proposed cuts to the Medicaid healthcare program.
