The body of Corporal Jawad al-Salayita, who was killed Thursday in a knife attack outside the Sri Lankan embassy, was laid to rest in Amman on Friday. Another officer was injured and taken to hospital in moderate condition. Deputy King Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein, military and security officials, and residents from several areas attended the funeral. The State Security Court is investigating the attack. A document said the suspect’s name had appeared in an earlier case involving terrorism-related charges. Authorities have not yet disclosed the motive for the attack.
