Russian Federation Council Chair Valentina Matviyenko said the world was awaiting important messages from a possible meeting between Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping and Donald Trump, adding that such a meeting would be historic and was expected to address international issues, including preventing a nuclear war. She said preparations were under way to determine its agenda and substance, but the trilateral meeting had not yet been confirmed. The Kremlin said Putin and Xi were preparing to meet at the APEC summit in Shenzhen on November 18 and 19, while the format of any contact between Putin and Trump on the sidelines of the summit had yet to be decided.
