At the 13th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Ankara, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus President Tufan Erhürman said his country would continue coordinating with Türkiye in pursuit of a fair and lasting solution to the Cyprus issue. He called for solidarity among Turkic states to be translated into practical projects, including research programs, academic and cultural exchanges, and sporting ties. He said the isolation of Turkish Cypriots hindered their integration and undermined efforts to foster an atmosphere of trust and reach a solution. He expressed hope for an Eastern Mediterranean marked by cooperation and prosperity rather than tension and exclusion.
