Gaza education recovery estimates
An article reveals the deterioration of the educational system in the Gaza Strip due to ongoing disturbances, with full recovery potentially taking up to seven years. The war and the pandemic have led to a reduction in face-to-face schooling, resulting in educational gaps of up to five years, and the risk of children permanently dropping out of school is increasing. Current challenges include a shortage of facilities, restrictions on the import of supplies, and damage to infrastructure, forcing reliance on unaccredited educational programs and remote learning initiatives. Efforts remain focused on restoring sustainable education, with a need for ongoing funding to ensure the continuation of these initiatives.
