Iran warns US forces with ships
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard threatened to target U.S. forces in the region if they continue escorting ships through the Strait of Hormuz, after seven tankers were hit by strikes and naval mines. The Iranian navy claimed to have struck four tankers in the northern Gulf and described other attacks as a result of mines west of the strait. Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump accused Iran of attempting to raise oil prices before the elections by orchestrating the attacks. Washington and Tel Aviv are planning intensive strikes after the elections, and Israel continues to strengthen its military presence near Iran.
