Verstappen's strong showing at Austin
The German driver Max Verstappen, four-time world champion, criticized the Austin Circuit in Texas for the bumps present on its track, which are considered dangerous and impact drivers' safety. He confirmed that the main issue pertains to the foundations beneath the track and that it needs to be addressed fundamentally. He pointed out that the circuit is built on soft ground influenced by weather conditions, which worsens the bumps and causes health problems for drivers, especially affecting their spines. The bumps have also contributed to an increase in headaches among drivers, with some needing medication. Drivers called for repaving and regular maintenance of the track to ensure safety and improve race conditions.
