Yemeni Defense Ministry Corrects Tribe Statement
The Yemeni Minister of Defense, Major General Rakan al-Aqili, retracted a previous statement issued by the Ministry of Defense regarding the warning against tribal gatherings. He confirmed that the earlier statement was incorrect and unacceptable. He clarified that the Yemeni tribes form the backbone of the project to restore the state, and that his forces will not target any gatherings, whether tribal or civilian, emphasizing their commitment to international law in their military operations. This comes after the Yemeni Ministry of Defense issued a statement warning against citizens participating in gatherings under various names, considering them exploited by the Houthis for mobilization and combat recruitment.
