Trump Blames Iran for Maritime Attacks
The article discusses Iran's escalating military and political activities in the Gulf region and the Strait of Hormuz, amid rising tensions with the United States and Israel. President Donald Trump accused Iran of attempting to drive up oil prices before the U.S. midterm elections through narratives about targeting ships and planting mines in the Strait of Hormuz. Warnings continue as Iran prepares for an uneven war, threatening to target enemy ships in the Arabian Sea and bolster its military capabilities using drones and maritime attacks. American and Israeli officials have also revealed plans to resume strikes on Iran after the U.S. elections, aiming to destroy nuclear facilities and infrastructure. Meanwhile, military drills are increasing, with aircraft patrolling Iran’s borders to deter potential attacks. Iran, for its part, has asserted that it will respond appropriately to any aggression, warning that ongoing tensions could lead to a prolonged conflict and an increase in support for military actions.
