Suspect detained over Giza church fire

Egyptian authorities announced the arrest of a person suspected of partially setting fire to the "Virgin Mary" Church in Giza Governorate, which resulted in minor damages. The suspect, who suffers from mental health issues due to his addiction to the drug "Ice," entered the church claiming to pray while carrying a bottle of gasoline hidden inside a bag. He broke the church door and set fire to its curtains and carpets. The incident caused damage to some of the church's contents; the fire was brought under control, and security authorities are conducting investigations to uncover the motives.
