Houthis Claim Attack on Saudi Defense HQ
The Yemeni Houthi group, backed by Iran, launched military attacks within 48 hours targeting important Saudi facilities, including the Ministry of Defense in Riyadh, King Fahd Airport in Dammam, Aramco in Yanbu, and Abha International Airport. Saudi Arabia responded to the escalation by intercepting and destroying four drones in the areas of Riyadh and Medina. The group accuses Saudi Arabia of conducting over 2,900 airstrikes and missile attacks over the course of 100 days, resulting in the death and injury of more than 562 civilians. The Houthis also affirm that their operations have destroyed sensitive facilities and disrupted navigation at the targeted airports.
