Eritrean Rally in Cairo on Regional Issues
The article discusses the escalation of tension between Eritrea and Ethiopia since the beginning of October, marked by military and diplomatic confrontations between the two countries amid fears of a regional war breaking out in the area. Eritrea is taking diplomatic measures, including holding meetings with its community in Cairo, visiting Nairobi, and issuing international messages to halt the escalation, while Ethiopia accuses Eritrea of supporting rebels and deploying troops within its territory. Despite the escalation, expectations remain that a war between the two nations can be avoided, with efforts focused on mediation and emphasizing the importance of good neighborliness.
