China Deploys New Satellite via Sea Launch
China launched a new satellite today (Wednesday) from the sea using a "Ceres-1 W8" rocket off the coast near Richaow City in Shandong Province. The satellite is intended for remote sensing for commercial purposes, supporting the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area, southern China, and low-latitude regions along the Maritime Silk Road. This is the seventh sea-based launch in the "Ceres-1" series carried out by Galactek Energy, the developer of the rocket, which has conducted a total of 23 launches to various orbits so far, deploying 90 commercial satellites into their intended orbits.
