Qurtulmuş on Building a Fair Global System
The article focused on the call by Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş for establishing a fair and just global system as the only means to end wars, injustice, and the challenges faced by the international order. This is especially vital amid the decline of its institutions, the spread of humanitarian crises, and ongoing conflicts worldwide. It emphasized the need for all countries to share responsibility in building a fair system that guarantees human rights and dignity. The article also highlighted the importance of ending the genocide in Gaza, ceasing fire, renewing reconstruction efforts, and ensuring that attention is not diverted from the occupation practices in the West Bank. Additionally, it stressed the importance of establishing an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, to achieve a just and lasting peace.
