Arab Bloc Leader in Israel: May Drop Two-State Plan
The article notes that Jabarin, head of the Joint List of Arab parties in Israel, expressed the possibility of accepting full Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank in exchange for full voting rights for Palestinians, adopting an approach similar to bi-national models such as Belgium or Switzerland. He also emphasized the importance of increasing Arab voter turnout to strengthen their political influence, while condemning the current government policies led by Netanyahu, particularly the reduction of funding and the withdrawal of police from Arab communities. Additionally, he showed willingness to collaborate with Eisenkot to support the formation of an alternative government, focusing on issues related to funding and security reforms, and pushing for the start of a dialogue aimed at ending the occupation and resuming negotiations with the Palestinian Authority—all without immediately demanding the recognition of a Palestinian state.
