Angry crowd confronts Israeli woman in Istanbul mall
A Jewish woman of Turkish origin named Claudia Medina Khalafon was attacked by around 20 anti-Israel activists at the Estinia Park shopping complex in Istanbul after they recognized her due to her work organizing medical tourism for Israeli patients. She was verbally assaulted with hostile language, and the activists chanted slogans rejecting the presence of Zionists, while threatening her and filming her up close. Security forces intervened to protect her and escort her out of the area, amid clashes between security guards and protesters, following a prior social media campaign targeting her because of her connection to Israel.
