Fatwa Bans Voting for Ben Gvir Over Al-Aqsa
The article pertains to the political and religious dispute in Israel regarding the invasion of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. Former Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef issued a religious edict forbidding support for his party, "The Jewish Power," due to its entry into the holy site, considering it a religious violation that warrants punishment. Additionally, political tensions are escalating amid reports that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has committed to excluding the party from the upcoming government, although Likud has denied this. The rivalry over ministerial portfolios between Ben-Gvir and Netanyahu is intensifying, along with increasing disagreements over the formation of a potential government.
