Alaa Mubarak Discusses Egypt's Backing of Saudi Arabia
Alaa Mubarak, the son of the late Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, affirmed Egypt's support for Saudi Arabia following President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's call to the parliament to authorize the deployment of Egyptian forces to defend the Kingdom. He clarified that Egypt's stance is rooted in bonds of brotherhood and history, emphasizing that Saudi Arabia is a regional power capable of safeguarding its sovereignty. He also stressed that Gulf security is part of Egypt's national security. This comes as part of Egypt's broader commitment to support Saudi Arabia in facing threats and its readiness to undertake any measures requested by the Kingdom to protect it, especially in light of the tensions caused by Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia.
