Iraq unveils plan for OIC dialogue
Iraq announced the launch of a vision to initiate an open dialogue among the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) aimed at enhancing peace and sustainable development. The vision, prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, includes the establishment of an annual dialogue forum and a network of experts for early warning, with a focus on developing mediation, building trust, and coordinating international positions regarding Palestine and Jerusalem, while respecting the sovereignty of individual countries. The initiative seeks to translate these proposals into practical programs with follow-up mechanisms to measure progress, thereby strengthening solidarity and stability in the region. Iraq also held the presidency of the organization's Council of Ministers after hosting its 52nd session in Baghdad.
