Qantas flight canceled due to bed bugs
The appearance of bed bugs on a flight from Perth to Rome led to the cancellation of another scheduled flight from Italy to Australia, after Qantas received passenger complaints of bites during the previous journey. Thorough inspections and cleaning resulted in strict measures to ensure passenger safety and control the spread of the pests, which feed on human blood and are transmitted through luggage, clothing, and furniture. The airline apologized to the passengers and rescheduled alternative flights for them, as investigations into the incident are ongoing.
