Chinese embassy criticizes Japan over Yasukuni
A spokesperson from the Chinese embassy in Japan strongly condemned the actions of Japanese leaders regarding the Yasukuni Shrine, which included sending offerings and visits by government officials and parliament members to the war-related shrine. The spokesperson affirmed that this shrine commemorates 14 Class-A war criminals and denies the crimes Japan committed during World War II. He emphasized that such conduct harms historical justice and reflects intentions to revive Japan's militaristic tendencies, posing a challenge to the international community. China urged Japan to confront its aggressive past and to adopt the correct stance on history in order to strengthen its relations with neighboring countries.
