Iran proposes talks between Saudi Arabia and Houthis
Iran reaffirmed its commitment to dialogue and diplomacy to resolve the disagreements between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi movement in Yemen, expressing readiness to mediate if both parties request it. The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry emphasized that military intervention and blockade are not solutions to the Yemeni issue, noting that the Yemeni people have suffered for over a decade from a maritime and aerial blockade imposed by external powers, especially Britain and the United States. Iran emphasized that resolving the crisis requires respecting Yemen's sovereignty, ending interference, and lifting the blockade. It also rejected any role in Yemen's military operations, considering that escalation benefits no one.
