Shenzhen tightens pre-sale housing rules
The city of Shenzhen in southern China has focused on improving the real estate market by introducing new rules to tighten the requirements for pre-sales of commercial properties. It has become necessary to complete the building’s structural framework before allowing pre-sales to begin, with priority given to selling completed units. In cases of delivery delays, buyers have the right to terminate contracts and recover their deposits, with developers bearing contractual responsibility. These measures aim to improve the supply and demand balance in the real estate market and achieve greater stability.
