Ben-Gvir's plan to reshape army values
The article reveals Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir's plan to make a fundamental modification to the "Israel Defense Forces Ethical Code" in order to strengthen the Jewish identity of the military and to focus on principles rooted in Jewish heritage. The plan also involves escalating the military objectives to center around achieving victory and defeating enemies. Some of the key changes include abolishing the concept of "Purity of Arms" and replacing it with "Justice of Arms," as well as removing restrictions that prohibit harming non-combatants and prisoners, and eliminating mention of "universal ethical values."
