UAE's AI Monitoring System Explained
The article focused on the UAE's efforts in monitoring and regulating Agentic AI through the adoption of a comprehensive system that ensures responsible and safe use of the technology. Omar Sultan Al Olama explained that the UAE aims to employ AI to provide 50% of federal government services within the next two years, with a careful assessment of risks before integrating digital agents, excluding around 30% of high-risk services. The UAE also revealed the creation of a central oversight system known as the "Agent Monitoring Tower," which oversees all agent activities to ensure transparency and accountability. The strategy emphasized improving people's quality of life rather than merely increasing productivity or achieving cost savings, establishing clear boundaries on the use of the technology in services that could negatively impact individuals’ lives or their livelihoods.
