Yemen escalates air and ground attacks on Houthis
The "Fajr Yemen" operation marks its tenth day amid a significant escalation of military activity against the Houthis on the fronts of Taiz, Marib, and Al-Jawf. Yemeni forces carried out 2,200 precise strikes within 24 hours, resulting in the death of approximately 1,200 Houthi fighters and the destruction of more than 440 military vehicles. The operations targeted command centers and fortifications, aiming to disrupt Houthi capabilities and weaken their supply lines, with field advances occurring in multiple areas of Taiz. The ongoing clashes have caused human losses and mass displacement, while the humanitarian situation has deteriorated—particularly in the health sector—due to increasing injuries and depleted medical resources. A blockade preventing the arrival of essential supplies further exacerbates the crisis, threatening a health and economic catastrophe in the city.
