Zelensky criticizes Kyiv winter readiness
On Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized Kyiv's preparations for winter amid the ongoing war with Russia, especially as drone and missile attacks targeting energy facilities increase, leading to power and water outages in the capital, Kyiv. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, who is currently at odds with Zelensky, responded to the criticism by emphasizing that the city is operating under difficult conditions with the support of its residents despite the ongoing attacks on infrastructure. Kyiv residents now face periodic and mandatory power and water cuts to compensate for the damage caused primarily by Russian attacks targeting energy infrastructure, further worsening the situation in the capital, which has a population of around 3 million.
