Spanish King Visits Ceuta Cemetery
King Felipe VI of Spain and his wife, Queen Letizia, visited the city of Ceuta for the first time, where they stood before the Muslim cemetery that contains the remains of victims from the mass migration wave from Morocco in July. Authorities dealt with many of the graves without identifying the victims. The king affirmed that Ceuta and Melilla are an integral part of Spain, emphasizing the need to maintain good neighborly relations with Morocco, despite the escalating tensions over migration issues and official visits. The visit comes as part of efforts to strengthen the ties between the two countries amid rising disputes over border management and migration.
