Netanyahu's Exit and Palestinian Impact
The article discusses the potential impact of a change in the Israeli government on the Palestinians in light of the upcoming elections. It notes that opposition parties and the current government largely agree on key policies in the occupied territories, including support for settlements and their expansion. Despite the possibility of the opposition winning, analysts expect that any change will be limited, with Israeli policies toward Gaza and the West Bank remaining largely the same. Palestinians continue to suffer from widespread violence, attacks, and displacement. The forecasts suggest that the new government might adopt more cautious positions and move away from the most extreme policies, but it is unlikely that there will be a fundamental shift in the core policies involving ongoing control over the Palestinian territories.
