Arab Condemnations for Houthi Attacks on Saudi
Arab and regional condemnations of the Houthi group’s attacks on Saudi Arabia have renewed following a new assault on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which resulted in injuries. This comes after a previous attack within 24 hours that killed 12 people and injured 309, according to the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Turkey condemned the attacks, stressing that they are blatant violations of international law and threaten Saudi Arabia’s security and stability. They called for an immediate and unconditional halt to such attacks. The states expressed their support for Saudi efforts to defend its sovereignty and held the Houthis fully responsible for the threats. Meanwhile, the international community warned of the dangers of escalation, which threaten regional and global security. This comes amid ongoing Houthi attacks targeting airports and oil facilities with missiles and drones, along with a warning from the group not to use Saudi airspace except for Mecca and Medina, as tensions escalate in Yemen and military operations continue there.
