Yemeni Rebels Advance to Taiz
Social media circulated a video claiming to show large military reinforcements of the Houthis heading towards Taiz, amid ongoing clashes between the Houthis and government forces in the city. However, investigations confirmed that the footage is misleading and dates back to military convoys belonging to the Taliban in Afghanistan from July 2026, and it has no connection to the current situation in Yemen. The video was misused in an incorrect context to gauge pressure on Taiz, but it did not display any recent Houthi reinforcements heading to the city.
