Mental health and listening to experience
During its observance of World Mental Health Day today, the World Health Organization emphasized the need to boost investment in mental health to provide the essential well-being required to face the increased hardships of life. The organization pointed out that the COVID-19 pandemic, economic crises, unemployment, and fragile social conditions have led to a rise in mental health issues, with isolation and societal stigmas impacting individuals' psychological well-being. It called for involving those with personal experiences in the development of mental health policies and services, to enable more human-centered responses and strengthen support within local communities.
